Designed by Pininfarina, the Lancia Flaminia saloon made its debut at the Turin Motor Show in 1956 and embodied the Italian luxury car.

The successor to the Aurelia, the Flaminia was based on the Aurelia’s architecture, but the monocoque construction was different and the traditional telescopic front suspension was replaced by a double wishbone with more modern coil springs.

Two years later, still at the Turin Motor Show, Lancia and Touring presented a GT version of the Flaminia.

Built on a wheelbase reduced from 2,870 to 2,520 cm, it was a Touring Superleggera with a thin steel tube frame clad in aluminium.

The lines are elegant and the interior is bright thanks to a large rear window.
