MG, born in the 1920s, was the brainchild of Cecil Kimber. He was a Morris Garages manager who loved modifying cars.
MG became known for its affordable sports cars. Post-war, the MGA and MGB models were particularly successful.
A little-known fact: MG played a role in WWII. The company retooled to produce vital equipment for the war effort.
