Looking from the side profile of the Indy, it looked like it could go fast standing still.

Maserati ensured the car could go as fast as it looked by fitting the 4.2 litre V8 to match the looks.

Fuelled by four, yes four, twin-choke 42 DCNF Weber carburettors giving the Indy a claimed 260bhp to play with and capable of reaching a top speed of 155mph.

Just 1,104 4.2 litre Indy’s were produced, making this quite a special car in its own right.
