Designed by Vignale and built on a unibody structure, the Indy four-seater coupe bridged the gap between the Ghibli and the Mexico, its higher roofline offering more headroom for rear passengers compared to the Ghibli.

The Indy launched with a 4,136-cubic-centimeter V-8 engine featuring double overhead camshafts and producing an impressive 260 horsepower.

Maserati manufactured 436 examples in this spec before increasing engine displacement, first to 4.7 liters and finally to 4.9 liters.
