The Rover SD1 was always a favourite with the British Police and used a lot by Government Ministers.

It is reputed that when production finished the Police secured the last batch of cars produced to keep running them as high speed pursuit cars.

This speaks volumes as to the statue of the car and what it meant to Police forces all over the country and to the great British public.

Surprisingly there are very few left on the roads today, but here is your opportunity to own a piece of British motoring history.

This very rare example was first registered on 3/2/1982 to a Mr Hartley of Nelson, Bury by Hebden Brothers Ltd of Burnley and the car still wears the original rear window dealer sticker to this day.

It then went into his son-in-law’s ownership on 1/2/1992 and has been with him ever since.

It was used very sparingly and then put into dry and secure long time storage, hence the very low mileage which the vendor informs us is correct.
