Here we have a very rare Rover SD1 series 2 with the 3500 EFi engine and automatic gearbox.

Finished in Silver with contrasting grey leather, it benefits from some nice upgrades such as Vitesse style alloy wheels, front and rear spoiler, original Rover mudflaps, a JVC radio and CD system and a period 3-spoke leather steering wheel.

It comes with a host of invoices and receipts giving an insight into the money that has been spent on this car over the years, along with a selection of previous MOT certificates including the current one which is valid until February 2024.

The Rover SD1 is both the code name and eventual production name given to a series of executive cars built by the Specialist Division (later the Jaguar-Rover-Triumph division), and finally the Austin Rover division of British Leyland from 1976 until 1986, when it was replaced by the Rover 800.

The SD1 was marketed under various names.

In 1977 it won the European Car of the Year title.
