Built from 1963 until 1977, the Alfa Romeo 105/115 Series Coupés were the successors to the celebrated Giulietta Sprint Coupé and used the shortened floor pan from the Giulia saloon.

The basic body shape, shared by all models, was designed by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone and although it was early in his career and one of his first major projects, this design is often regarded as some of his best work.

The balance of glass and metal, the influence of the shape of the front and rear glass on the shape of the cabin and the flat grille with incorporated headlamps were all considered groundbreaking styling features for the era.

Imported from South Africa in 2017, this particular 1600GT Junior has been the subject of a professional nut and bolt rebuild completed in 2021.

It was stripped to a bare shell before being blasted back to bare metal to ensure that no corners were cut with regards to hidden areas of corrosion or deterioration within the shell.
