Under the bonnet sits a Cosworth-tuned turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-four, rebuilt by Graham Hathaway Racing (GHR) to Group A specification, which drives the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
This Sierra RS500 Cosworth is one of just 500 examples built.
It is said to have been owned by the seller since January 1989, who reportedly transferred ownership to their mother between 1993 and 1994, and has been driven sparingly in recent years, covering around 3,500 miles since 2006.
In October 2014, the car was taken to Atspeed Racing, where it underwent various works including an engine calibration.
A dynamometer readout from this visit confirmed a peak output of 419bhp.
