Chassis 38676 has been the subject of a documented comprehensive mechanical restoration, with invoices on file from RS500 Specialists for in excess of £21,000 (bills on file for £12,838 £8,522) for mechanical work.

The aim of the work appears to have been “to strip and return to as near standard as possible”, as stated on the invoice from January 2026.

In current ownership since 8th February 2005, the iconic silhouette appears very original indeed.

There are a few age-related marks, we understand the gleaming Black coachwork is mostly original with some stone chips filled in with only a Black touch-up pen, but it is after all almost forty years old.

There appears to be no rust or corrosion whatsoever.

The original RS500 Lattice alloy wheels have recent Yokohama Advan Neova tyres all round.

The Grey upholstery is in excellent order without any holes or wear, and the carpet is also in excellent condition with the original over-mats supplied when new.
