Here we have a Datsun 240Z project, the shell of which has been sat on a shelf for many years in the vendor’s unit with every intention of rebuilding it, but other projects and work have got in the way, hence it has come to us in this condition.

At this stage we have the shell and some glass along with some body parts, however, the bulk of the parts are to follow with the vendor informing us that he has all the parts and some extras from a donor car, apart from the front and rear axle, and the gearbox.

The Datsun belonged to his father and has been in the family for many years, and its last known colour was red.

The shell has been acid dipped and shows it in all its glory.

There are, as you would expect, some holes and bad joints, which will need addressing but at least you are seeing it in the ‘nude’ so to say so you see what exactly what condition it is in.

The Datsun comes with a V5 and HPi, confirming its identity and showing that it is the real deal.
