1971 Datsun 240Z Scarab V8 Restomod Drift Games Provenance Watson Racing Chevy 350 V8 Lowe Classics are delighted to offer this hugely distinctive and widely recognised 1971 Datsun 240Z Restomod, a car with a superb backstory, serious mechanical specification and unmistakable road presence.
Originally supplied by Deane Motors in Ireland before later becoming part of the Drift Games collection, this 240Z is understood to have been built as a Scarab-style V8 conversion, using a Watson Racing USA-built Chevrolet 350 V8.
Producing a reported circa 400 bhp, and paired with a proper manual transmission, this is a far more serious build than a purely cosmetic restomod.
The specification is extensive.
The engine build is understood to include a Chevy 350 block, Scat crank, Probe rods and forged pistons, hydraulic camshaft, performance cylinder heads, Brodix intake manifold, Demon 750 CFM carburettor, Mallory ignition system and upgraded cooling with aluminium radiator and electric fans.
