Light, purposeful and delightfully uncomplicated, its compact two-seat body, cycle wings and lively character came to define the traditional MG sportscar.

This attractive example was first registered in Wolverhampton in 1933, having been supplied through Attwoods, the city’s principal MG dealer.

It carries chassis number J3301 and engine number 2164AJ, with its body recorded as having been produced by Car Bodies.

A sympathetic and comprehensive restoration was undertaken between 1998 and 2000.

The engine was rebuilt by noted specialist Barry Foster and is paired with an F-type gearbox.

Further mechanical work included the fabrication of an exhaust manifold and substantial attention to the braking system.
