Subject to a full restoration in 1986 (the all-important photos are present in our Photographic Gallery, below), this lovely little MG J2 has subsequently been enjoyed by a further two owners: the first for 15 years, and then current vendor for just under another four.

“ I actually bought it just as the Covid pandemic hit back in March 2020,” he explains.

“My 95-year-old father was a pre-war car lover and unfortunately, at the time suffering from cancer, so I used it to take him on little trips.

Sadly, he passed away last year, so now for me, it’s the right time to sell ”.

During his ownership the vendor has continued to tweak, fettle and improve the MG, with a variety of work carried out and parts fitted including the following: “ It’s a very good condition, original specification car that comes with a comprehensive history file.

It retains its original registration number, JU 2891 and was in very regular use up until a year ago ”.
