The decidedly eye-catching first series Montecarlo on offer is an eight-keeper example that was purchased by the vendor from a Mathewson’s auction in 2021, and briefly appeared on the ‘Bangers & Cash’: Restoring Classics’ TV programme.

The Lancia was blue in colour at birth, but was the subject of a ‘very good’ window-out respray in Rosso Red in 1996, at which time the currently ‘immaculate’ windscreen was probably renewed.

Since acquiring the Montecarlo the vendor has carried out a recommissioning programme that’s included an overhaul of the electrical system and refurbishment of the distinctive alloy wheels.

He has also treated the car to a number of new items, including: alternator, carburettor overhaul kit, fuel filter and regulator, fuses and relays, spark plugs, oil pressure switch, brake hoses, gearlever linkage, roof straps and gasket, and steering column stalk switch.
