AI Listing Summary
This 1960 Bentley S2 Continental H.J. Mulliner Coupe, one of the famed 'McLeod Bentleys,' is estimated to be worth between £100,000 and £140,000. A unique, one-off body designed by H.J. Mulliner with adaptions by FLM Panelcraft, it features a truncated boot, a signature of Capt. R.G. McLeod's cars.

Condition

While the car retains much of its original allure and character, it was laid up in a garage in 1989 and has undergone only light recommissioning recently. This suggests that while the car has been well-preserved, it may require some reconditioning to bring it back to its best condition. Therefore, a 'Good' rating seems appropriate.

It had been developed over five years and, despite the significant increase in cubic capacity, was no heavier than the cast iron unit it replaced.
As usual, the manufacturer declined to quote output figures, but suffice to say that performance was markedly improved, and the newcomer could waft its cosseted occupants to 60mph in around 10.9 seconds and on to a terminal speed in excess of 110mph.
Gone was the one-shot lubrication system that had been part of every Bentley's specification since 1933 - in its place were 21 grease nip...
