KEY FACTS This Austin Healey 3000 MkII is a charming classic British sports car, reported to be in good order and with a period-correct two-tone finish.

Under the bonnet is a 2.9-litre straight-six producing around 150bhp, which drives the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

An original MkII model, this Austin-Healey was built as a left-hand-drive car, and it was exported when new to New York.

It was equipped with an overdrive gearbox, wire wheels, a heater, and an adjustable steering column.

During the current ownership, it has been used as a faithful commuter to work in the Cotswolds, as well as trips further afield to classic car events and many happy runs to the local pub with the family.
