AI Listing Summary
This 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Saloon, one of 565 Mk I examples, features a factory black exterior with beige leather interior and has undergone significant refurbishment including an engine rebuild and a T5 five-speed manual transmission upgrade. The car has a documented history, including previous ownership by William Randolph Hearst Jr. and a period of racing, and is offered with a BMIHT Certificate and invoices dating back to 2007.
Condition
7
The car underwent a cosmetic refurbishment in the mid-2000s and a mechanical overhaul in the late 2000s, including engine rebuild and transmission upgrade. The Smiths instrumentation was refurbished in late 2020. While the car has been driven sparingly since the mechanical work, and the interior appears to be in good condition with beige Connolly leather, some wear is visible in the Pirelli tires with 2017 date codes and the car is a driver that has been campaigned on tracks. Minor reconditioning may be required.
