Description
• Superbly restored to exceptional standard• Unbroken history file dating back to 1954The 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 represents a landmark moment in British motoring history, seamlessly blending the high-performance heritage of the Feltham factory with a new level of everyday practicality.
Introduced at the London Motor Show as an evolution of the highly successful DB2 platform, the DB2/4 pioneered the '2+2' grand touring concept.
By repositioning the fuel tank and modifying the chassis, Aston Martin's engineers cleverly integrated two occasional rear seats.
When folded flat, these seats created a massive luggage platform accessible by an innovative, opening rear door, cementing the car as one of the world's very first premium hatchbacks. Underneath the elegant aluminium coachwork, which was primarily crafted by Mulliners of Birmingham, lies a sophisticated tubular frame chassis equipped with trailing-link independent front suspension and a highly capable live rear axle.
