AI Listing Summary

This 1968 Ferrari Dino 206 GT is a rare, fully restored example with only approximately 150 ever built. It features its original Rosso Dino paint, a reupholstered Nero interior with distinctive orange seat inserts, and a rebuilt 2.0-liter V6 engine, making it a highly desirable classic.

Condition

8

The car underwent a five-year restoration, including a repaint in the original Rosso Dino, interior re-trim in black upholstery with orange inserts, and overhauls of the engine, suspension, brakes, and electrical system. The listing notes some minor imperfections like the engine lid sitting slightly proud and wiper marks on the windshield, but these do not detract significantly from the overall excellent condition.

A prototype of the 206 GT was shown at the 1965 Paris Auto Salon, followed by revised concepts at the 1966 and 1967 Turin Motor Shows.

The model entered production under the Dino moniker in 1968 as Ferrari’s first road-going mid-engined car, as well as its first with V6 power.

Designed by Pinanfarina and built by Scaglietti, the 206 GT featured all-aluminum bodywork over a tubular steel chassis.
