Description
Description Increasingly scarce long-wheelbase example; old english white with period style vinyl roof; powered by Jaguar's legendary 4,235cc straight-six; luxury usable classic with seventies charm The Daimler Sovereign Long Wheelbase is a fine example of 1970s British luxury motoring.
Based on the Jaguar XJ Series II, the long-wheelbase model offered extra rear passenger space while retaining the smooth ride, refined handling and understated styling for which the range is well known.
Today, it remains a comfortable and usable classic, equally at home on tours, at shows or simply enjoyed on a sunny weekend.
Manufactured in 1976 with only 8 former keepers, this Sovereign is finished in what is believed to be Old English White, complemented by a contrasting tan vinyl roof and matching leather interior, a combination that suits the car particularly well.
Originally supplied in a period shade of brown, it is not known when the car was repainted.
