Description Only two previous keepers; 4.2-litre XK straight-six engine; requires re-commissioning Launched in 1966, the Daimler 420 Sovereign was essentially a more luxurious version of Jaguar’s 420, fitted with the same 4.2-litre XK straight-six engine but distinguished by Daimler’s fluted grille and more refined trim.

With 245bhp on tap, it was capable of 120mph and offered effortless performance combined with the sort of understated elegance that defined Daimler’s clientele.

Only around 5,000 were built before production ended in 1968, making them a relatively rare sight today.

This particular example has been in long-term storage for many years and, while it does run, a full recommissioning service is recommended for serious road use.
