Description Only 37,000 miles indicated; recent service, clutch kit, exhaust and tyres; a super example of this rare run-out model; one of only 1,038 made and fewer than 500 surviving Last and best of the Capri models was the 280 Brooklands, a limited edition run-out model which had the same 160bhp engine and 5-speed gearbox as the 2.8 Injection (good for 130mph) but also had various special features including a limited slip diff, Brooklands Green paintwork, special 15” alloys and a full leather Recaro sports interior.
Costing around £12,000 new, only 1,038 were made and fewer than 500 still survive in the UK today.
Supplied new by Quicks of Chester in August 1987, this lovely 280 Brooklands is showing only 37,089 miles on the clock which is believed to be correct and is certainly plausible given the overall condition of the car.
