Founded in the 1980s by Jon Randall, JPR Cars were based at Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit in West Sussex until redevelopment of the historic track led to its premises being demolished to make way for the new pits complex.

The firm is currently not building any new cars or producing kits, but existing Wildcat owners are catered for by an enthusiastic owners club (www.jprwildcat.co.uk).

Constructed around a multi-tubular steel space frame, JPR’s glassfibre-bodied Wildcat is a kit car replicating the looks of the legendary E-Type Jaguar.

Originally designed for Ford Cortina mechanicals, it was subsequently developed to accept Ford Sierra or Jaguar XJ6 running gear.

A wide variety of engines can be accommodated, Ford Pintos and Rover V8s predominating, although Wildcats have been built using Datsun, Ford Cosworth, Jaguar and other power units.

This uncompleted example was purchased new in 1990 by a friend of the vendor, from whom the latter purchased it a few years ago.
