The car has had 3 previous owners and comes with a Lotus certificate of provenance confirming that it is a genuine Sprint Drop Head Coupe in Lotus yellow.

In 1987 a replacement Spyder chassis was fitted along with new front and rear wishbones and shock absorbers at 54,000 miles.

The car then spent many years in storage.

In 2014 the car was repainted and had extensive mechanical work carried out with over £21,000 spent.

The work included removal of the engine and gearbox.

Engine stripped and inspected, gearbox rebuild, new clutch, racing solid driveshafts, new discs and callipers, new stainless steel exhaust, new dashboard, new carpets, new hood and alloy fuel tank.
