En parallèle aux exclusives huit cylindres, est apparue dès 1932 la D6-11, équipée d'un moteur à 6 cylindres en ligne, dont la motorisation évolue d'année en année, pour devenir la D6 70, présentée en 1935, qui connaîtra un grand succès.
Elle évolue en D6 75 en 1938 avec un accroissement de sa cylindrée à 2.8L, qui préfigure le fameux 3L d'après-guerre.
