This 80-inch Series I Land Rover benefits from a recent restoration which involved a new galvanised chassis, a new bulkhead, and an earlier engine rebuild of its 1.6-litre IOE petrol engine.
Care seems to have been taken to preserve its usability and originality, including the retention of original bodywork dings beneath its recent Bronze Green paint. This is an early-spec "lights behind the grille" Series I, complete with ring-pull transmission.
The V5C records its year of registration as 1957 (after production of 80in models had ended) but the paperwork includes a copy of a Heritage Certificate which confirms that it was in fact built in February 1950 as a right-hand drive export model.
