est dissoute.
René Bonnet part avec une idée de moteur central arrière à l’image des nouvelles Lotus de compétition.
Pour affirmer et sauver sa nouvelle société, son cahier des charges demande une voiture sportive, fiable, avec des pièces de grandes séries pour limiter les coûts d’entretien.
Ce sera avec Renault que se concrétisera ce projet, grâce au moteur de la future R8 Gordini.
La Djet de série sera donc équipée d’un châssis poutre.
Face à des difficultés financières, René Bonnet se voit contraint de vendre d’abord une partie, puis la totalité de son entreprise à la firme Matra.
Malgré ce rachat, la Djet reste en production jusqu’en juillet 1968.
