Datsun, born from DAT Motors, initially produced trucks. Nissan took over in 1934, focusing on smaller cars.
The name "Datsun" emerged, a shortened version of "Datson" (son of DAT).
Datsuns gained popularity in the US during the 1960s and 70s, known for reliability and fuel efficiency.
