Caterham's story began in 1957 when Graham Nearn became a Lotus dealer. He focused on the Seven, eventually acquiring the rights to it from Lotus in 1973.
Caterham continued production of the Seven, staying true to Colin Chapman's lightweight sports car philosophy.
Did you know Caterham once made a car called the 21? Launched in 1994, it was meant to be a more modern take on the open-top sports car, but it didn't quite capture the magic of the Seven and production numbers were low.
