The Austin Healey 100 series instantly struck a chord with buyers, particularly in the States, whose success dictated the car's evolution.
In 1956, it was fitted with a more powerful engine and for the first time configured as a 2+2, to become the 100/6.
Subtle design changes were also carried out but nothing was lost in the upgrade and was placed as the ultimate 100/6 model before the Healey became the 3000.
The 'Big Healey’s' have a positive reputation as a demanding drive, and its appeal as a beast to master is why it continues to resonate with classic car owners.
Yet despite the raw power, it comes with modest running costs and a second-to-none parts availability and expertise.
Restored between 1991 and 1994, this 1958 Abingdon-built 2+2 BN4 Overdrive model was originally a California LHD car and converted into RHD.
