Vehicle Details
AI Listing Summary
This 1980 MGB GT has been converted to a chrome bumper/Sebring style, featuring upgraded suspension and a Vermillion paint finish. Despite a solid history and desirable classic appeal, the car requires significant bodywork, interior attention, and mechanical repair as it is currently not running.
Condition
3
The car has significant cosmetic issues including bubbling paint, cracked paint, mismatched paint repairs, pitting on the bonnet, and overspray on wheels and body panels. The interior shows wear on seats, shiny steering wheel, worn pedal rubbers, and melted armrest. Mechanically, the engine does not start due to crumbled spark plug ceramics, and the brakes are soft. The heater is disconnected, and several areas show rust. While it has a desirable chrome bumper conversion and upgraded suspension, these issues require substantial reconditioning.

The front bumper is the chromed version we’re all familiar with, and very nice it looks too with no damage and only moderate tarnishing and plenty of fine scratches.
The rear is fitted with a fibreglass Sebring-style rear valance, and the bumper has been removed.
The result is a clean look that suits the car’s iconic lines well and is a tribute to past racing glory.
