The car is described as still looking 'absolutely stunning' and 'fresh after 41 years' with a restoration from the early nineties that still looks like it was finished 'a couple of years ago rather than three decades.' The exterior has tight shutlines, no dents or ripples, and the wheelarches are free of corrosion. The interior is described as having achieved a 'wonderful balance between usability and show-worthiness' with seats that are 'firm and plump and barely ruffled.' Mechanically, the engine bay has been restored to a high standard and the engine starts with enthusiasm and idles smoothly. The only minor blemishes noted are a crack in the paint on the offside rear wing and slightly loose material on the sunvisors. The seller explicitly states that it's 'so good that it seems a shame not to get it looking its absolute best' with a professional paint correction, indicating it's near-perfect but could be slightly improved.

Restored in the early nineties when it arrived back after a sojourn in the United States, it was reregistered with the DVLA in 1995 and has been in the same keeper’s care ever since.
As an engineer – his father started an engineering firm 66 years ago, which he then took over before passing it into his daughter’s hands a decade ago – he restored the chassis and mechanical components, leaving the restoration of the bodywork to Northern Healey.
