AI Listing Summary
This 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI Targa is one of only six UK models, making it a rare find. It features a rebuilt engine, restoration, and original options like the whale tail spoiler and Fuchs alloys, though it was refinished in Guards Red.

Condition
7
The car is described as an excellent survivor with matching numbers and a recorded genuine mileage. Although the car was refinished in Guards Red from its original Gemini Blue Metallic, it retains its original option 1975 ‘’whale tail’’ spoiler, original Fuchs 7& 8 X 15 inch alloys and thicker grip steering wheel. Engine was rebuilt and a full restoration began with further mechanical reconditioning. Photos of this work are included in the history file along with the relevant invoices. Considering this, I would place it in Very Good condition.

One of only six UK model Carrera MFI Targas.
The Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI ( mechanical fuel injection) model was built for all markets, except for the United States and used the 210hp engine from the 1973 Carrera RS, making them mechanically identical.
Introduced in 1974 on the new G-Series chassis, the floor pans were strengthened, lighting was improved and larger bumpers were incorporated.
With the proven 210bhp, 2,687cc air-cooled horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine on Bosch injection, 0-60mph was achieved in just over 5 seconds and the car was geared for 150mph through its 5-speed manual transmission.
The suspension was fully independent with torsion bars, McPherson struts and anti-roll bars.
The total weight was just over 1,075 kilograms, which made the Euro-spec 2.7 MFI a very fast car in its day.
In fact, it was the fastest production 911 until the late 1980s.
Offered here is one of only six UK model Carrera MFI Targa’s, making it a very rare Porsche.
