According to build paperwork on file, this eye-catching Rolls-Royce Camargue was originally shipped to Zürich and delivered on 21 August 1981 to the first owner, Mohamed Amen Dugdug, in care of the respected service and storage depot, Schmohl & Co AG.

As a late-production ‘1st series’ Camargue it was outfitted with the newly implemented Citroën-licensed self-levelling suspension and widened rear track, providing a better stance.

A 1987 invoice indicates that under Mr.

Dugdug’s ownership the car was, either at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe or under its direction, refurbished, with the suspension rebuilt.

More significantly, the body was refinished in Ebony with a gold coachline and full white interior, including both carpets and headlining; a sunroof was installed; and much of the body trim replated in gold, including the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot.

In 1989 the Camargue moved to England, then in 1993 to Spain, where it has remained since.
