The car underwent a complete bare-shell restoration in February 2017, with over 750 hours of labor. The chassis was repaired and powder coated, the suspension rebuilt, and the engine fully serviced, including a carburetor rebuild. The car was repainted in Silver Birch, and the interior was completely redone in Connolly black over black carpets. New wire wheels with Avon radial tires were also fitted. The restoration aimed to bring the car back to its original factory condition, and photos of the restoration process show meticulous attention to detail. The car is described as being in excellent mechanical condition and appearing as it would have when it left the factory 50 years ago.
