AI Listing Summary

This 1930s Austin 12/4 Saloon, a well-preserved example with early to mid-1930s styling, has been in storage for many years. It features sound bodywork and a remarkably well-kept original interior, comes with a V5 and old buff logbook, but requires mechanical reconditioning due to its long period of inactivity.

Condition

6

The car has been in storage for many years and hasn't run recently. The bodywork is sound, and the interior is in very good condition for its age, suggesting that it's been reasonably well-preserved despite its storage. However, the lack of recent use indicates that some mechanical reconditioning will likely be necessary to get it running again.

1930s Austin 12/4 Saloon This is second 1930s Austin 12/4 in our sale, but this example is slightly earlier with the early to mid-1930s styling.

This is the second car to be pulled from a Croydon lockup after many years of storage.

The bodywork appears to be sound and the original interior is still in very good condition for its age.

Clearly the car hasn’t run for many years but this is a very worthwhile project; there aren’t any documents and we believe them to be lost.**Catalogue amendment: we have a V5 and an old buff logbook with this car.**Estimate: £800 – 1,200To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on March 5th at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU.
