Unveiled in March 1966 at the Geneva Motor Show under the name “Duetto,” the Alfa Romeo Spider is the work of Pininfarina.

Its silhouette, with its sculpted flanks and flush-mounted headlights, was unlike any other on the market at the time.

It spanned the decades across four successive series, each refining the design without ever straying from its core principles.
The fourth and final series, launched in 1990, returned to its roots: Pininfarina removed the plastic trim from the previous series, painted the bumpers to match the body color, and incorporated taillights inspired by the 164 sedan.

Power steering became standard, and the 2.0-liter engine was equipped with electronic fuel injection.
