Dans les années 1860, Louis Delaunay travaillait pour Julien Belleville au sein de son entreprise de chaudière.
Il en épouse alors la fille, prenant le nom de Louis Delaunay-Belleville et se lance alors dans la construction d’automobiles en 1904.
Très vite, l’entreprise s’est forgée une réputation auprès des grands de notre monde à l’instar du Tsar Nicolas II de Russie ou plus tard Trotski et Lénine.
A la mort de Louis Delaunay-Belleville, la firme de Saint-Denis fut reprise par ses deux fils, Pierre et Robert Delaunay-Belleville.
Conservant au catalogues leurs motorisations quatre et six cylindres, les automobiles Delaunay-Belleville accueillaient en 1922, la P4B, une 12CV mut par un quatre cylindres 2.6 litres à arbre à cames en tête.
Cet exemplaire restauré en partie affiche une sympathique carrosserie « skiff » mêlant tôle et bois vernis.
