Condition

7

The car is described as being in overall solid condition with a few age-related marks. The interior presents well, but the leather would benefit from restitching on one of the rear seat bases. There are no mentions of significant damage, dents, or rust issues, suggesting it's better than average but not quite excellent.

The Porsche 996 Targa was introduced in 2001 as part of the 996-generation 911, which marked a major shift for Porsche with its transition to water-cooled engines.

Unlike previous Targa models that featured a removable roof panel, the 996 Targa adopted a large glass sliding roof that retracted beneath the rear window, similar to the 993 Targa before it.

This design allowed for an open-air driving experience while maintaining the coupe’s rigidity.

It was powered by a 3.6-litre flat-six engine, producing 320 horsepower in later models, and was available with both a six-speed manual and Tiptronic automatic transmission.

The 996 Targa remained in production until 2004, when it was succeeded by the 997 Targa, continuing Porsche’s tradition of blending practicality with performance.

We are delighted to offer this 2002 Porsche 911 Targa in Basalt Black metallic with black leather interior.

First registered in March 2002, the original owner didn’t scrimp on the options.
