It’s not often you come across one of these, a Renault Alpine GTA V6.

When you think this car is from 1989 you realise how ahead of its time they were.

It’s no wonder they caused a storm and were the subject of many rave reviews and used on a host of leading TV programmes of the day.

When you look at this one, finished in yellow with a black and yellow interior, you think ‘wow’! It certainly makes a statement.

The GTA is a model produced by the French manufacture Alpine launched in 1985.

It is the successor to the A310, and the first Alpine produced 100% by Renault.

It was the first car launched by Alpine under Renault ownership (though Alpine had been affiliated with Renault for many years, with its earlier models using many Renault parts).

Longer, wider, and taller, it effectively updated the design of its predecessor, the Alpine A310, updating that car's silhouette with modern design features like body-integrated bumpers and a triangular C-pillar with the large rear windshiel...
