Finished in Blanc Nacré pearl with its wonderfully period velour interior, it presents as a highly appealing example of Renault’s lightweight, composite-bodied grand tourer, now showing only 100,733 miles.Developed as the successor to the A310, the GTA was Alpine’s bold attempt to take on the Porsche 911, using advanced aerodynamics, a lightweight polyester and fiberglass body, and the proven PRV V6.In the UK, however, Renault could not use the Alpine name due to a trademark conflict with Sunbeam’s Alpine sports cars, so all official UK imports were Renault-badged, despite being full Alpine products underneath.
