Converted new by Carmichael of Worcester, this splendid Series III long wheelbase Land Rover, call sign Fire 7, was in service with the Guernsey fire brigade for 18 years before spending a further six with their counterparts on the neighbouring island of Alderney.
Boasting a water tank capacity of 200 gallons and pump rating of 500 gallons per minute, it has operated as both a strike vehicle and reserve emergency tender.
Regarded by the vendor as being in ‘great condition’, it is still fitted with its pump, pipes, breathing apparatus and a selection of its original tools.
Its 2.2-litre engine drives through a four-speed manual transmission.
