8
The car is described as 'very well looked after' with 'outstanding service history' and recent servicing. It's noted as a 'very well looked after example' with a valid MOT. Description
• A very well looked after example with outstanding service history • Desirably equipped with the ZF automatic gearbox • Displaying c.81,000 miles from new • Offered with the original owner’s wallet, bookpack, service record and tool-kit • Cherished registration number ‘M8 OPV’ included in the sale Introduced at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show, the fifth-generation (M139) Quattroporte was styled by Ken Okuyama of Pininfarina whose other credits included the Honda NSX and Ferrari Enzo.
More driver orientated than a Bentley Flying Spur or range-topping Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the Maserati had a firmer ride and, in early cars at least, a ‘Duo Select’ paddle-shift transmission that was not at its best in fully automatic mode.
Powered by a Ferrari-derived 4.2-litre ‘quad cam’ V8 engine developing 395bhp/333lbft and reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds and 171mph, the Quattroporte featured a truly sumptuous interior and soundtrack to match.
