AI Listing Summary
This 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL is a collector-grade, right-hand drive example with a well-documented history, including single-family ownership for over 40 years. Recent mechanical work by marque specialist John Haynes and a respray contribute to its excellent condition, making it a highly desirable Pagoda.

Condition
9
The car is described as 'one of the best of its kind' and 'simply one of the finest Pagodas'. It has had a sympathetic preservation-centric restoration, an engine restoration by marque specialist John Haynes in 2022, and a thorough refresh in 2012. The listing mentions the attention to detail in the work done, such as replating zinc parts in the original-style gold zinc. While it's not 'Pristine' due to the respray and restoration work, it's in near-perfect condition with minor signs of use.
