AI Listing Summary
This 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Litre Drophead Coupe, one of only 104 ever made, boasts matching chassis, engine, and body numbers. It has undergone significant restoration and upgrades, including a Getrag five-speed gearbox and electric power steering, and has been well-maintained with close to £27,000 spent over the past thirteen years; however, the car's paintwork has aged in places and the brightwork is imperfect.
Condition

The car presents as an older restoration with aged paintwork and imperfect brightwork, indicating wear and tear. However, it is mechanically sound, starting readily and easy to manoeuvre with power steering and a five-speed gearbox. The seller admits to prioritizing driving over polishing, suggesting a focus on functionality over pristine aesthetics.

Initially powered by a 3442cc derivative of the marque's race-proven DOHC straight-six engine, the XK150 could be specified with an enlarged 3781cc unit from late 1959 onwards.
