Baillie, Aston Martin racing driver This fascinating example of one of Coventry’s finest had a truly engaging early life as it was first delivered to Captain J.B.

Baillie who was an archetypical gentleman racer.

An ex-army man, he used to race Aston Martin DBR1s at the weekend while enjoying his Jaguar XK150 during the week – quite the two-car garage! Numerous records of his exploits are included in the history file, as well as his original BRDC radiator badge with his name engraved at the bottom.

In more recent years, this example has had significant work undertaken, with all aspects of the restoration undertaken by well-respected XK professionals.

It was stripped down to its constituent parts with its paint removed and the bodywork repainted in a new gunmetal grey colour.
