Making its way to the US circa 1987, the 280 SL’s speedometer installed at federalization showed less than 17,000 miles at the time of cataloguing.

Some of these miles were added when the previous owner campaigned the car on the 2024 Copperstate 1000 rally, with over $5,000 having been spent to ensure that the car performed flawlessly.
