Delivered new to French Bugatti dealership, Gaston Docime of Paris in 1930, this Bugatti came into the possession of a well-known collector and author of many Bugatti books, Mr Uwe Hucke, in the mid 1960`s.

He kept the car until 1977 when he sold the car to Mr.

Helmut Schellenberg, the well-known Bugatti racing driver of the 1930`s.

Mr.

Schellenberg had the car professionally restored in Germany by the end of the 1970`s at German Bugatti specialist, Feierabend.

He kept it until 2005, when it was sold to the now collector and vendor.

Indeed, most of its life, 1965 – 2005, chassis #441141 was in the hands of only two collectors, internationally known by any Bugatti enthusiast the world over.
