It was sent to Westfalia-Werke, where it was converted as an SO-23 Campmobile with a “submarine” roof hatch as well as white limba wood cabinetry and trim.
A refurbishment at some point under prior ownership included retrofitting a 1.6L flat-four as well as a repaint in the current shades of Coral and White, and the van was purchased by the selling dealer, DFW Car & Toy Museum, last year.
