AI Listing Summary

This 1958 Fiat 600 Trasformabile features a 747cc engine, four-speed manual, and four-wheel disc brakes, along with a lowered suspension and black leather interior. While it shows signs of prior paintwork and underbody rust, it offers a distinctive classic European driving experience.

Condition

6

The car has had prior paintwork, rust is visible on various underbody components, and the interior has been re-trimmed, indicating it is not in perfect or near-perfect condition. However, the mechanical upgrades like a later model engine and four-wheel disc brakes, along with the re-trimmed interior and overall presentation (green paint, canvas roof, steel wheels), suggest it's in good overall condition with some wear and necessary reconditioning.

747cc Inline-Four Single Downdraft Carburetor Four-Speed Manual Transaxle Green Paint Retractable Canvas Roof Panel Black Leather Upholstery 13" Steel Wheels Four-Wheel Disc Brakes Lowered Suspension
This 1958 Fiat 600 Trasformabile was fitted with a 747cc inline-four and four-speed manual gearbox from a later model as well as four-wheel disc brakes before being acquired by the current owner, automotive designer Stewart Reed, in the mid-2010s.

Finished in green with a retractable canvas roof panel, the car rides on a lowered suspension and is fitted with 13″ steel wheels at all four corners.

Rear-hinged doors provide access to the cabin, which houses black leather–trimmed seats.

This 600 is now offered on dealer consignment with spare parts and a California title.

Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1955 as the successor to the 500 Topolino, the Fiat 600 was the company’s first rear-engined car and was produced through 1969 at the Mirafiori assembly facility in Turin, Italy...
